![]() ![]() ![]() I guess it’s just there to look pretty, though I do think it’s preferable to give these guys as many different poses as possible.Įarlier I mentioned grabbing the last one off the shelf – I thought I was pretty hot shit there for a minute but don’t worry, I have seen gobs of these in the meantime and at $20 it’s really not that bad for a LEGO. (If his arm stuck out even like, a stud further I think it’d work.) If you try it so that the stock is on the inside of his arm, it has to clear his “body” and the rifle will end up pointing dead right. Once you angle it enough for the stock to clear the arm, the barrel is at too narrow of an angle to pass the body. I wanted to pose him with the file in-hand but it won’t fit. Armed with only a simple pistol, he carries his weird claw gun rifle thingy on his back. His outfit isn’t quite as piecemeal as Boba Fett’s was, but it is fairly intricate with lots of detail, and – much like the Child – the irregularly placed LEGO bricks do a wonderful job of capturing all the asymmetry. And if you wanna make him look a little sadder or a little cuter just flip those ear-pieces upside down! It’s a simple but surprisingly effective adjustment. “Baby Yoda” can also be popped out of his “hover ball” thingy with ease. I really like how the LEGOs are irregularly textured to give some realism to the collar of the little bag/garment thing he’s wearing. The stubby nature of the Brick Headz lends itself well to diminutive frame of the Child. ![]() Set 75317 includes 113 – The Child and 114 – The Mandalorian. Don’t get me wrong – I think an appreciable level of detail is put into these caricatures, but they’re still just caricatures. In general I find the LEGO Brick Headz to be…underwhelming at best. I don’t want to indiscriminately buy up every hunk of plastic, metal, and fabric with the Child on it, but when I saw that last box of Brick Headz on the shelf, I had to have it. It’s taking some time, but The Child is steadily worming its way onto everything from water bottles to beach towels to Band-Aids. ![]()
